PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: August 30, 2026

Nobody Asked Judy has opinions about a lot of things.

Your private information isn’t one of them.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Nobody Asked Judy may collect, why we might have it, and what happens to it. We’ve attempted to explain this like normal human beings instead of making you hire an attorney just to determine whether we know your IP address.

The Short Version

We don’t want to know everything about you.

We don’t sell your personal information.

We don’t want your mother’s maiden name, your blood type, the name of your third-grade teacher, or an explanation for whatever you were Googling at 2:14 this morning.

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate Nobody Asked Judy and the features you choose to use.

Information You Choose to Give Us

Some features on Nobody Asked Judy may allow you to voluntarily submit information.

For example, if you use Ask Judy, contact us, subscribe, or otherwise send information through the site, we may receive whatever information you decide to provide. This could include your name, email address, message, or other information you voluntarily enter.

Please don’t send sensitive personal information.

Judy has enough responsibility already.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, Nobody Asked Judy and the services used to operate it may automatically receive basic technical information when you visit.

That information can include:

  • your IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • pages you visit;
  • referring pages or websites;
  • approximate location derived from technical information; and
  • dates and times of visits.

This information may be used for security, troubleshooting, site operation, preventing abuse, and understanding how people use the site.

In other words, we may learn that somebody visited the Dr Pepper rant at 3:00 in the morning.

We do not necessarily know it was you.

Although we question your sleep schedule.

Cookies

Nobody Asked Judy and services used to operate the site may use cookies or similar technologies.

Cookies are small files websites can store in your browser to remember information or make features work properly.

Sadly, they are not actual cookies.

This remains one of the internet’s greatest betrayals.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Doing so may cause some website features to behave strangely, which honestly puts them in excellent company around here.

Reactions and Interactive Features

Nobody Asked Judy may offer reactions, polls, buttons, forms, searches, or other interactive features.

Those features may process or store information necessary to function, count responses, remember selections, prevent duplicate submissions, or prevent abuse.

The important distinction is this:

You get a button.

Judy keeps the microphone.

Analytics

Nobody Asked Judy may use basic analytics or similar tools to understand general site traffic and usage, such as which pages people visit and how visitors find the site.

We’re interested in questions like:

“Does anybody actually read this?”

Not:

“What did Susan from Wisconsin have for breakfast?”

Analytics services may collect technical information according to their own privacy policies. If the analytics services used by Nobody Asked Judy materially change, this policy may be updated accordingly.

Embedded Content

Some articles may contain content embedded from third-party websites.

For example, a music review may include an embedded YouTube video so you can actually hear the song Judy is complaining about, praising, dissecting, or questioning humanity over.

When possible, Nobody Asked Judy intends to embed videos from official artist, label, creator, or other authorized sources rather than copying or hosting that material ourselves.

Embedded content may behave similarly to visiting the website that provides it. Those services may collect technical information, use cookies, or process information according to their own privacy policies.

Where reasonably available, Nobody Asked Judy may use privacy-enhanced embedding options.

Nobody Asked Judy does not control the privacy practices of third-party services.

We can barely control Judy.

Links to Other Websites

Articles naturally discuss movies, television, music, books, products, people, companies, and whatever else wanders into Judy’s line of sight.

We may therefore link to websites operated by other people or companies.

Clicking one of those links takes you away from Nobody Asked Judy. The destination site’s privacy policy and practices apply once you’re there.

A link does not necessarily mean Nobody Asked Judy endorses, approves of, agrees with, likes, trusts, or has stopped yelling about whatever is on the other end.

Sometimes it’s literally just the thing we’re talking about.

Third-Party Services, Purchases & Payments

Nobody Asked Judy uses third-party services to provide some features of the website, including merchandise purchases, payment processing, and order fulfillment.

Printify may be used to produce, fulfill, and ship merchandise purchased through Nobody Asked Judy. When you place an order, information necessary to fulfill that order—such as your name, shipping address, contact information, and order details—may be provided to Printify and its fulfillment partners.

Stripe may be used to securely process payments. Payment information, such as credit or debit card details, is processed by Stripe and is not intended to be stored directly by Nobody Asked Judy.

Printify and Stripe may collect and process additional information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

Nobody Asked Judy does not sell your payment information.

We also have absolutely no desire to possess it.

For more information about how these companies handle information, please review the Printify Privacy Policy and Stripe Privacy Policy:

How We Use Information

Information collected through the site may be used to:

  • operate and maintain Nobody Asked Judy;
  • provide features you request;
  • process or facilitate purchases;
  • fulfill merchandise orders;
  • respond when you contact us;
  • understand general site usage;
  • prevent spam, fraud, or abuse;
  • troubleshoot technical problems;
  • protect the website and its visitors; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

Personal information will not be sold merely because somebody arrives with a wheelbarrow full of money and asks what you clicked.

We have standards.

We’re still looking for them, but we have them.

How Long Information Is Kept

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, site operation, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or applicable legal requirements.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

Third-party providers may have their own retention practices.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you certain rights regarding personal information associated with you.

Those rights may include requesting access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information.

You may also be able to control cookies and similar technologies through your browser or device settings.

If you have a legitimate privacy request involving information collected directly by Nobody Asked Judy, contact:

Email: ______________________________

Please clearly identify your message as a privacy request.

Please don’t send Judy a 4,000-word manifesto explaining why The Outsiders is overrated.

That is not a privacy request.

It is also wrong.

Children’s Privacy

Nobody Asked Judy is intended for a general audience and is not directed toward children for the purpose of collecting their personal information.

We do not knowingly seek personal information from children.

If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected improperly, we will take reasonable steps to remove it where appropriate.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled directly through the site.

No website, server, network, payment processor, carrier pigeon, or other method of transmitting information can guarantee absolute security.

Please use good judgment when deciding what information to submit through any website.

Including this one.

Especially this one.

Changes to This Policy

Nobody Asked Judy will change.

Technology will change.

Privacy laws will change.

Judy’s opinions probably won’t.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, its services, third-party providers, or applicable requirements change.

The Last Updated date at the top of this page will tell you when that happened.
